I'm Ellie, a designer, avid cyclist, frequent traveler, and lifelong book nerd. I began my career by pursuing my passion for bikes and desire to share the joy of bikes with others. As a cycling instructor with the City of Boston, I taught hundreds of children and adults how to ride safely in the city. Later, as a sales associate, I helped countless people choose the right bike for their needs and situation. As the manager of a bike shop, I gained experience leading a team and built confidence in making business decisions and driving growth. As an account manager at a startup, I wore many hats and worked with clients on a daily basis providing technical support and guidance to ensure their continued success with an app-connected ebike product.
My experience in the bike industry led me to a career in UX design and I couldn't be happier to be pursuing this path. I realized that what I enjoyed most about all of my roles was solving problems for people, whether it was a mechanical issue with a bike, an issue with a sales order, or a technical issue with an app-connected product. User experience design felt like a natural next step, so I dedicated myself to learning the tools of the trade and acquiring the skills needed to design user-centered products and experiences. I'm excited to continue learning and growing as a designer through self-study and collaboration with other professionals in the field as I progress in my career.
I'm currently searching for a full-time opportunity in UX design. I'm based in the Boston area, but would be happy to relocate. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you are interested in learning more about me, would like to work together, or just want to chat!
